    The Heyday

    Old-school restaurant JJ’s Mexican Oasis was converted by Brad and Crystal Reihl into the Heyday. The new owners restored the red leather booths and kept some of the lighting — it still feels like dining in a classic 1970s eatery. On the menu are trendy smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, wings, fries, and a hefty gem salad with lemon, toasted panko breadcrumbs, and a light ranch dressing. The bar serves classic cocktails.

    A refined roadside diner and cool, hideaway desert bar both located inside the Ace Hotel.

    Kings Highway Diner- A refined roadside diner that celebrates the spirit of the wide open West, with a coffee bar that serves Stumptown all day. The Chilaquiles are phenomenal!

    Amigo Room- A dark, cool desert cave, serving inspired cocktails, local craft beers and vibe for days. The Frozen Paloma will keep you cool and refreshed.

    Del Rey

    Desert Modern Dining located in the stunning Villa Royale. Housed inside stucco walls and accented with artistic works from Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor and David Bailey, stands Villa Royale’s intimate bar and eatery. And no joke... Gucci wallpaper!

    Del Rey’s Spanish-style fare, Mediterranean-leaning wine program serving Spanish varietals and local wines is perfect if your looking to splurge a bit on an unforgettable experience. The Conservas platter is a must have!

    With an old-school Miami supper club feel, The Tropicale is a grown-up, kitschy oasis ready to party. During dinner its considered a fine dining experience, but their happy hour is casual and inviting. No reservations necessary! Just grab a seat at either bar whether it be in the lounge or their spacious outdoor patio. With an impressive cocktail list, plenty of food options, and an eccentric atmosphere, the recipe is right for things to get weird.

    Azucar & Sugar High Rooftop Bar and Restaurant

    Azúcar- located in La Serena Villas, is dedicated to excellence. They serve modern contemporary cuisine with an emphasis and focus on flavor utilizing high quality and local ingredients.

    Sugar High- Rooftop Lounge (opens @ 5pm) This special rooftop deck is a great mix of Boho meets cool Palm Springs Vibe. Their little gem sits on top of our vibrant and fresh restaurant Azúcar. It is a perfect slice of heaven to enjoy our full menu or have cocktails and apps in their lounge area. With beautiful surrounding views of the San Jacinto Mountains, you cant lose!

    Toucans Tiki Lounge

    Established 20 YEARS AGO, Toucans Tiki Lounge in Palm Springs hosts the city’s longest continuously running drag show, Tommi Rose & The Playgirls “ICONIQUE”, as well as drag nights ranging from Latin Fever Monday, KICKXY LAND, and LIPS, LOOKS & LASHES. The club also brings in top tier cabaret and performance talent as part Toucans ongoing “Live on Stage” series.

Outdoor Activities

    Tahquitz Canyon & Waterfall

    Tahquitz Canyon is one of the most beautiful and culturally sensitive areas of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation. Tahquitz Canyon is home to a spectacular seasonal 60-foot waterfall, rock art, ancient irrigation systems, native wildlife, and plants. Located at the entrance to the canyon, the Tahquitz Canyon Visitor Center offers educational and cultural exhibits. Recommended by Flash'N Mountains, she says its an easy hike to the waterfall!

    Lost Palms Oasis Trailhead

    If your looking for an early AM hike thats worth a bit of a drive check out the Lost Palms Oasis Trail is in the southern part of Joshua Tree National Park. Use the Cottonwood Spring parking area at the trailhead. Parking can get crowded quickly. Arrive at sunrise for the best hike (and parking!) experience.

    7.4 miles, Considered Moderate Effort.
    3-4 hours total.

    Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

    The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which you can spot on your arrival into town, is a wonderful way to get your bearings. Riding 2.5 miles up the mountain through five ecological zones in 10 minutes inside a rotating tram car (the world’s largest) you’ll thrill to 360-degree birds-eye views of desert and mountains. At the top, take your time to enjoy the endless vistas. Bring a wrap. The mountain is about 30 degrees cooler than the valley floor.
