Burlesk Below isn’t just a show — it’s a gathering of mischief-makers, art rebels, and glamour witches beneath the streets of Downtown L.A.
Hidden inside the moody, speakeasy-style venue Stowaway, this curated revue blends burlesque, drag, and cabaret into a night of bold storytelling, sensuality, and radical self-expression.
We center artistry that challenges the mainstream — performances born from lived experience, queerness, and cultural lineages often left in the shadows. Every act is a spell of subversion, every moment a reclamation of power and pleasure.
For one night only, we’re bringing in the wild, genre-bending sounds of Red Fiction 🎶 — an avant-garde surf balkan metal jazz prog band led by guitarist/composer Jason Schimmel (Secret Chiefs 3, Estradasphere). Featuring Ryan Parish on saxophone, Shawn Baltazor on drums, and Rusty Kennedy on bass.
